1. Recommended Installation – Frontal View
For optimal performance, install the camera to capture a frontal view of the vehicle.
Align the camera with the upper front section of the vehicle, as illustrated below. This ensures that the height of the captured license plate characters is approximately 30–35 pixels.
The captured image should cover the entire width of the vehicle.
The recommended distance between the vehicle and the camera is 15 ~ 164 ft (5 ~ 50 meters).
The camera’s mounting height should be between 10 to 29 ft (3 ~ 9 meters).
The installation angle should not exceed 30°.
2. Alternative Installation – Side View
If a frontal view is not feasible, the camera can be installed to capture the side-front view of the vehicle.
Position the camera at a higher elevation to focus primarily on the front portion of the vehicle, minimizing unnecessary background content.
The setup angle should not exceed 15°.
