For our latest models of Plug and Play NVRs & DVRs with the latest firmware, there is an option that will allow you to choose which cameras you want to show in the live view on the local display when any user logs out of their account. By default, all cameras are shown on the display when any user logs out.

This function is useful for when there are one or more cameras, for example that a manager of a business might not want other employees or customers to see on a public monitor when they log out of their account. This can be useful for covert cameras or cameras that are showing sensitive areas in a building.

To configure this, you will need to be logged in as the admin user, or a user that has rights to the Account and Authority menu.

  1. Click on the circular Start button on the bottom left of the screen, and then click on Settings.

  2. Then click on the Account tile, and then click on Edit User.

  3. Now, from the left column on menu options, click on Preview On Logout under the Security section.

  4. From here, you should see a list of all cameras, and their status on showing when any user logs out, like below.

  5. At this point, you can choose which cameras to not show on the local display when any user has logged out. This can't be decided on a per-user basis, so a decision needs to be made as to which cameras would you not want any person viewing the screen to be able to see when any user logs out.

  6. After you had made your selections, then click on Apply.

  7. To test this, then click on the Start button again and then click on Logout. Depending on what cameras were chosen, you will see a screen similar to below.
