With some of the newer models of our Diversity Series of IP/Network cameras, there is a different method to scan for these select models. Below are the current list of models that need to follow this method, as well as detailed instructions:
AVC-NCMS321M04, AVC-NSMS321M04, AVC-NAE41F28, AVC-NAE81F28, AVC-NAB41F28, AVC-NAB81F28, AVC-NBE41F28, AVC-NBE81F28, AVC-NBB41F28, AVC-NBB81F28
- First, launch the Diversity IP Device Tool. If you do not have this installed, you can download it from our website, https://www.avycon.com
- After it has launched and performed the original scan, we are going to need to change the Protocol Type from Media to HTTP. This can be accomplished by clicking on the ? (question mark) icon on the top-right of the window, and then clicking on Protocol Type, and then choosing HTTP.
- After you have changed the protocol, you must click on the Search button again to re-scan for cameras using the HTTP protocol as their primary protocol type. Doing this will cause the window to temporarily appear blank, but after a few seconds, you should now see more cameras listed.
- Now, if you see one of the models that was listed above in this new list of scanned cameras, you can either click directly on the IP address of the camera, which will launch your default browser, or you can manually enter the IP address of the scanned Diversity IP camera in your preferred browser window/tab.
- Please feel free to contact our Technical Support department should you still encounter any issues scanning for your Diversity Series IP camera.
