In order to provide a better experience when connecting remotely to our Diversity NVRs, DVRs and IP Cameras, we have slowly been adding new P2P servers to balance the network traffic. In doing this, we have also created a new format for the P2P codes to eventually allow for more devices in the future.

Previously, our original P2P code format was displayed (either when connected with a monitor or through the web interface) in all uppercase letters like below and had a length of 20 characters:

917ZPP8JO5N3KM4O111A

With this original all uppercase P2P code, and entering in this information with either our mobile apps or the CMSONE software, you could input the letters in this P2P code in either uppercase or lowercase letters. So for example below, both of these were acceptable codes:

Correct

917ZPP8JO5N3KM4O111A

Correct

With our newer format of P2P codes, they will be displayed on the screen or in the web interface in all lowercase letters like below, and will be a shorter length of 18 characters:

These new codes though are case-sensitive, so they will need to be input using all lowercase letters. If not, our mobile apps nor our CMSONE software will never connect. Usually when scanning with a QR code, it will be registered correctly on your mobile device. When using the CMSONE software though is when to make sure that all the characters are lowercase.

Incorrect
