Starting from v8.2.2 and above, our Diversity Series Recorders support saving snapshots and event-based video clips to either a Google Drive or Dropbox account. Below are the steps to enable saving to a Google Drive account. The best way to accomplish this is to login to the web browser interface using the local IP address of the recorder.
- Find the IP address of the recorder and launch your web browser and enter the IP address in the address bar
- Enter in your credentials and click on the Login button.
After successfully logging into the web interface, click on the Configuration link.
Next, you should see a column on the left side of the screen with links to different options in the menu. Under Storage, find the Cloud link and click on it.
In this section, make sure that Cloud Storage is enabled, and make sure that Google Drive is selected. Click on the Save button. Then after your settings have saved, then click on the Activate Cloud button.
You should then see a pop-up window, displaying your Activation Code and also a link to click on, which will open up in a new tab. Copy and paste the activation code from the pop-up window or write it down.
In the new tab/page that was opened, enter in the activation code into the field shown below and click on the Continue button.
At this point, if you are not signed into your Google account, it will prompt you to log in. After you have logged in, please choose what account to use to link to your Google Drive.
You should then see another page that shows that your account will be adding the "CloudStorage" app, which will access your Google Drive to store the snapshots and video clips. To complete the integration, click on the Continue button.
If successfully integrated with your Google Drive account, you should see a screen like below.
After you have seen the confirmation message, please go back to the recorder tab/page for Cloud and then click on the Refresh button. You may need to click on it a few times to confirm that it was successfully linked.
At this point, you can now navigate to the Alarm or Smart Analytics section and choose which cameras and events you would like for the recorder to save snapshots or video clips to your Google Drive account.
