This quick guide will detail how to enable any Diversity IP Cameras with White Light LEDs (AVC-NCxxx Series) to flash integrated White Light LEDs based on AI Analytics, Motion Detection or I/O (Alarm Inputs) within the camera. These instructions will detail how to configure this using the web interface of the IP Camera and connecting to its IP address.

  1. Using any modern browser, enter the IP address of the AVC-NCxxx camera you are trying to configure.

  1. If no password has been assigned to the camera, you will receive a prompt to create a password. Once the camera has accepted the password, then log into the camera, with the username of “admin”.

  1. From the main Live View page, click on the Configuration link in the upper-right corner of the web page.

  1. From within this Configuration menu, you should see a column on the left-hand side of the interface. From here, under the Channel section, select Image Settings.

In order for the White LED to be used as a deterrent, we will need to confirm that the
Image Setting option is set to “Day/Night Mode”.

Once you have confirmed this, don’t forget to click on the
    Save
     button.

  1. Next, since we will be configuring this camera to flash the White Light LEDs with AI detection, you will need to navigate to the AI->Setup section.

From here, you can choose which Analytic you want to detect and then have the White Light LEDs flash for.

In the example below, we are going to choose Human & Vehicle Detection (
PD & VD), and then make sure to enable and then configure accordingly. When all changes are made, make sure to click on the Save
     button.

  1. In the same AI menu, click on Alarm, and then for the analytic you chose make sure that the Light option is enabled, and then click on Save.

  1. On this same page, click on the Schedule button and then you should see the pop-up window like below. Click on the radio button next to Light and then make sure to set your schedule for what hours of the week you want the White Light LEDs to flash. When you are finished, click on the OK button.

  1. Lastly, we will need to configure the White Light LED’s flashing options. This will be found under Event->Setup->Siren.

Make sure that the
Light option is enabled. Then configure the options below for the White Light LEDs :

  • Duration: How many seconds you want White Light LEDs to stay on

  • Color Image: Toggles option for image to be in B/W or Color

  • Deterrence Mode: Choose either strobe mode (flashing) or warning (constant)

  • Strobe Frequency: If strobe mode is selected, controls speed of flashing

Click on the Save button to save all changes.
