This quick guide will detail how to enable any Diversity InfiniteColor IP Cameras with White Light LEDs (AVC-NCxxx Series) to flash integrated White LEDs based on AI Analytics, Motion Detection or I/O (Alarm Inputs) within the camera or NVR when integrated with a Diversity Recorder (NVR/DVR), and the recorder is connected to a monitor and mouse.
After successfully adding the AVC-NCxxx IP camera to the recorder, bring up the Settings menu, and under the camera heading, choose Camera.
From the list of cameras in the Camera menu, find the AVC-NCxxx camera and just make sure that it is using port 80 instead of the older port 9000. There might be instances where the camera was updated from an older firmware and is still using port 9000.
Now, from the list of cameras in the Image Settings menu, find the AVC-NCxxx camera and under the Settings column, click on the gear icon to configure settings.
In order to use the white light LEDs on the camera, you will need to switch the camera into Day/Night mode. This can be selected from the Image Setting drop-down menu. After selecting Day/Night mode, you can exit this menu by clicking on the right mouse button.
Next, you will need to enable and configure the certain AI Analytic that the camera supports. In the example images below, Human and Vehicle Detection is selected. Make sure the checkbox under the Enable column is checked and then click on the gear icon to enter into the Analytics setting menu.
Make all the necessary settings for the detection you selected and then click on the Save button when you are satisfied with the settings you chose. In the example below, we are only going to detect Pedestrians (Humans). Click on the right mouse button to exit the menu.
The last option that we will need to configure will be in the Alarm section. Navigate to the Alarm->Siren menu, and then for the particular camera that you want to configure, click on the gear icon under the Settings column.
From this menu, choose options for how you want the white light LEDs to operate. The most important ones to make sure to configure are below. When you are finished, click on the right mouse button to exit:
Light Switch: Make sure this is enabled
Light Duration: How many seconds you want white light LEDs to stay on
Deterrence Mode: Choose either strobe mode (flashing) or warning (constant)
Strobe Frequency: If strobe mode is selected, controls speed of flashing
After you have returned to the Alarm->Siren menu, the last step is to configure the schedule for when you want the lights to flash. You can enter this menu by clicking on the gear icon under the Schedule column.
Now choose whichever Analytic that you wanted the white light LEDs to flash for, then confirm your weekly schedule of when you would like the lights to activate, and then just confirm that you have enabled the Light Switch. After you have confirmed all settings, click on the Save button.
Finally, make sure you click on the Apply button on the bottom-right of the screen in the Alarm->Siren menu to save all these settings.
