Required:        v1.4.2 or higher NVR firmware

When Virtual Host is enabled, this will allow you to directly connect to the web interface (HTTP port 80 only) of IP cameras that are connected to NVR's PoE ports, without having to connect a laptop to an open PoE Port on the back of the NVR. This will be useful for connecting to some of our more advanced cameras and allows for updating the firmware of third-party cameras.

To enable this feature, you will need to access the local IP address web interface of the recorder. After logging in to recorder, navigate to Function Panel->Network->Port, and then enable and apply the Virtual Host option.

Enable Virtual Host

Then to access the cameras, you can access them in two ways. You can navigate to Function Panel->Cameras->Edit Cameras and then click on the cog/gear wheel under the Settings column. This will only appear if the camera is detected with the AVYCON protocol, as seen below. If the camera is a third party camera or ONVIF, follow the steps below the next image:

If a third-party IP camera is connected to the PoE ports on the back of the NVR, you can access the camera by using the following IP syntax:

http://ip.address.of.nvr:59xxx

xxx = last octet(digits) of IP address of camera in Edit Camera list.

(For example, NVR has an IP address of 192.168.1.200, and IP camera has an internal address of 10.151.151.106, then the URL to access the camera's web interface is http://192.168.1.200:59106)
