If you are trying to diagnose a Plug & Play NVR/DVR that is having software or GUI issues, there is a method to grab serial/debug logs from the recorder. Please follow the steps below:
- Download or have customer download file from link below and extract the file inside. (The file is named just "asdbg" with no file extension) and copy it to a FAT32 formatted flash drive (4GB+):

(Recorder's password will need to be reset back to "123456" temporarily for this to work.)
- Reboot the recorder, and if successful, you will be shown a message stating "Dump Disk mount success"
- Try to reproduce the specific error so that it will be recorded to log files on the inserted USB flash drive. If you need to reboot the unit multiple times while trying to reproduce the error, it should record this to the logs as well.
- Wait another 10 minutes while normal functions on recorder are saved to logs and then shut down recorder and remove USB flash drive and copy all files to your PC so we can send them to our engineers for review.
- Please note that firmware on NVR must be v1.4.x and higher, or v1.3.x or higher on Hybrid DVRs
